Cruisin' through the Caribbean

For Christmas 2006, we all went on a Royal Caribbean Cruise, on the Spelendour of the Seas. The Cruise left from Galveston, which was incredibly convenient, and took us to Cozumel and Costa Maya. Cozumel was just as would be expected: tons of tourists! It was a busy joint, with tons of shops and restaurants. Everyone spoke English, it seemed. While there, we did some snorkeling on the beach and Lizzy and Jerrod did some rappelling. In complete contrast with Cozumel, Costa Maya was a much more quiet and small city. It is completely man-made for the Cruise ships, which makes it incredible touristy. Once we get off-shore and by-pass the 50 shops, there is absolutely NOTHING there! It is kind of amazing. All in all, we loved our Cruise....all of the food, sun and relaxation! Hope you enjoy our pictures below:

Here we are playing BINGO - You buy a set of cards that allows you to play 5 rounds. We played 2 games and Jerrod won about $200 during one of the rounds. It was pretty amazing!

Here's Jerrod and my cruise room. It was rather spacious, given you're on a ship. Everyday they had interesting animals folded out of towels. Today's animal: Hanging Monkey!
